Ingredients

2¼ cups low-fat (1%) milk
2 cups (8 ounces) dry macaroni
1½ cups (6 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon mustard
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions
1. In a medium pot, combine the dry macaroni and 2 cups
milk. Cover with lid and bring it to a boil over medium/high
heat while occasionally stirring.

2. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer until the pasta is
tender (about 10 to 15 minutes). Stir often to keep from
sticking. Replace lid after stirring.

3. When the pasta is soft and has absorbed most of the milk, add the last 1/4 cup milk, salt, pepper and mustard.

4. Turn heat off. Add the shredded cheese. Stir until cheese is melted. Serve immediately.
