Foods to Keep on Hand

  • Keeping some food in your cupboard will help you prepare meals when you can't get to the store or you are short on money.

  • You don't have to buy this food all at once. Just add an extra item or two each time you do your regular shopping. Soon, you will have a healthy stock of meals to fall back on.

  • The food you buy shouldn't be expensive. Take advantage of store specials, coupons and store brands. You can make many meals from the basic food in your cupboard.
